Y con respecto a la chorrada esta de la encuesta... ¡Pufff! ¡Qué decir! Lo mejor sería aplicar eso de "a palabras necias, oídos sordos" pero...
Bueno, sé que la barata y ramplona intención de esta encuesta es incendiar, así que voy a entrar al trapo y voy a activar mi "old man yells at a cloud" :-D

El principal problema que existe hoy día en el mundo es que se valora más EL DINERO que cualquier otra cosa. Hemos construido una sociedad esencialmente MATERIALISTA, en la que sólo es importante tener muchas cosas (cuantas más, mejor), sólo es importante la productividad monetaria, aquello que sólo genera VALOR DE TIPO MONETARIO. Y, por desgracia, la gran mayoría de las personas sólo piensan que lo realmente importante es PRODUCIR DINERO. Pero no piensan en VALORES de otro tipo.
La principal función del ARTE consiste en COMUNICAR, en expresar, y nos hace humanos, nos aporta EMOCIONES, algo que ningún otro oficio consigue. Sin ARTE, sin IMAGINACIÓN, sin CREATIVIDAD, estaríamos más cerca de convertirnos en MÁQUINAS-SIN-CEREBRO-TELEDIRIGIDAS. De hecho, es lo que pretenden muchos dirigentes políticos, ya que sería mucho más sencillo esclavizarnos totalmente.
Desde luego, la encuesta es la que es y, repito, sé la INTENCIÓN INCENDIARIA que tiene. Lo que es absurdo y, sobre todo, TERRORÍFICO, es EL RESULTADO FINAL de dicha encuesta y debería hacernos reflexionar sobre el alto grado de estupidez del ser humano.
Vamos a ver, pongamos un ejemplo reciente: quitemos el arte durante el confinamiento provocado por esta crisis sanitaria provocada por el COVID-19:
a) ¿nadie ha visto ninguna serie de televisión?
b) ¿Nadie ha leído libros, revistas, cómics...?
c) ¿Nadie ha jugado a un videojuego o a un juego de mesa?
d) ¿Nadie ha visto ninguna película ni ha disfrutado de la música...?
e) Nada de Netflix... Nada de jueguecitos para el móvil...
f) ¿Nadie se ha parado a pensar qué ocurriría si en, por ejemplo, Internet (culpable, por otro lado, del embrutecimiento general del pueblo no instruido) no existieran los iconos, los símbolos, las ilustraciones, las diferentes tipografías y demás trabajo de diseño gráfico?
g) ¿Nadie ha disfrutado admirando un cuadro, una escultura, una ilustración...?
¡¡¿¿Qué el ARTE no es importante??!! ¡¡¡¡JAJAJAJAAA!!!
El problema aquí es que muchos piensan (e Internet y su vertiginosa revolución tiene la culpa) que ciertas cosas SON GRATIS y EXISTEN por "arte de magia".
Como seres inteligentes, necesitamos pararnos, no correr tanto, dejar estas absurdas prisas de la vida moderna y reflexionar más. Y precisamente el ARTE ayuda a este ejercicio de reflexión y darnos cuenta de que hay RIQUEZAS, VALORES igual de importantes o más que el valor pecuniario.
Como bien dice el bueno de Teoh Yi Chie en este vídeo, como artista no debes tener en cuenta lo que opinen o no ciertas personas sobre tu producción artística. Simplemente, trabaja tu arte, practica, practica y practica para perfeccionar tu trabajo, sentirte mejor, para ser mejor, para mejorar tu manera de expresarte, pero no des importancia a lo que digan de tu actividad creativa, no hagas caso de los absurdos "LIKES" o "NO LIKES" porque, sino, nunca estarás contento y te sentirás deprimido. Lo que haces como artista siempre tiene un valor y habrá gente que SEPA o tenga LA PREPARACIÓN SUFICIENTE para apreciarlo y gente que no. Y ya está. No hay más.
Así que, para terminar, lo mejor es no hacer caso, pasar olímpicamente sobre el resultado de esta encuesta que es una estupidez, preocupante, por supuesto, pero una estupidez al fin y al cabo, que refleja (por desgracia) la ignorancia supina de muchas personas robotizadas materialistas.
Aquí suelto el topicazo ese de "las comparaciones son odiosas". Pero es que lo son. Todos los oficios son importantes y necesarios, así que no hay por qué comparar aunque, claro, después de esta encuesta, surgen mis dudas a cerca de ciertos encuestadores y, sobre todo, el oficio de los que publican estupideces de tal calibre.

And now, my opinion (in English) about this stupid "The Sunday Times" survey.
Nowadays, what happens is that most people think only MONEY is the most important thing in the world; more than anything else. We all have built an essentially MATERIALISTIC SOCIETY, in which only money matters, buy a lot of things, money value is really important. And, unfortunately, vast majority of people think this is right. But they don't think about other kinds of VALUE.
Art is about COMMUNICATION, expressing, and makes us human beings. Without ART, without IMAGINATION, without CREATIVITY, we would be closer to becoming remote-controlled-brainless machines which, in fact, is what many political leaders want to, since it would be much easier to totally ENSLAVE us.
Of course, this survey is what it is. Its final result is absurd, yes, and, above all, terrifying!!, and should make us think deeply about the high degree of stupidity, in general, of most of people.
For example, let's remove ART during the confinement caused by this world health crisis caused by COVID-19:
a) no one can watch television series;
b) no reading books, nor comics, nor magazines...;
c) no one can play video games, nor board games;
d) nobody can enjoy cinema, music, ...;
e) No Netflix or mobile games...
f) Has anyone stopped to think what would happen if in the Internet (guilty, on the other hand, of the general brutalization of the uneducated brain) didn´t exist icons, different typefaces, layouts, symbols, illustrations, other graphic design works...?
g) Has anyone not enjoyed looking at a picture, a sculpture, an illustration...?
ART is not important??!! HAHAHA!!! Come on!!!!
The main problem over here is that most of people think (and the Internet -and its vertiginous revolution- is to blame) that certain things are totally FREE (you can get it by free downloading...), and those creations exist by the "art of magic"... But no.
ART is a WORK!!
And it´s important, as intelligent human beings, we need to stop and not be in a continuous rush, as much as we all are today... Stop and think quietly and carefully. Precisely ART helps in that exercise of thinking, and realize that there´re VALUES as important or more than PECUNIARY VALUE.
As Teoh Yi Chie well says in this video, as an artist you shouldn´t take into much account what certain people think or say about your artistic production. Please, don´t care about stupid "LIKES" or "NOT LIKES" system. That´s very negative for you as an artist! Simply, you should work in your art, practice, practice and practice to find your unic way of expression, to feel better, to be better in your job, but do not give importance to what most people say about your creative activity because, otherwise, you´ll never be happy, and you´ll feel dissapointed, and depressed. What you do as an artist always has a value, and there´ll be people who know how to appreciate it and people who don't. And that's it. There's no more.
So, better don´t bother. The final result of this survey is stupid, disturbing, of course, but silly. In short, it reflects (unfortunately) the supine ignorance of many robotic, brainless, materialistic people.
Comparisons are hateful. All professions are important.
Although this survey and its publication cause me doubts about pollsters and the job of those who publish this nonsense, silly survey...
